One day when I returned from school, I heard some very heartbreaking news from my mother. It was that my grandmother's dog, KiKi died because of cancer and when I first heard that news, I could not forget KiKi's eyes with tears, looking at me. Was the eye telling me that KiKi, herself was very sick and wanted to die peacefully? Thinking of this, I thought euthanizing pets is necessary if they are extremely sick.
Of course, for many owners and vets, euthanizing a pet will be one of the most difficult things we will ever do. As an owner, the emotions you feel at this time often may make it hard to think, communicate, and make decisions. However, even though you do not want to euthanize your pet, that pet will want to die peacefully rather than dying after suffering a disease. There are many other reasons why euthanizing is a better decision.
First, animals can die very peacefullly and you can feel better about it. Even though euthanizing your pet is a very hard and sad decision, many people feel more comfortable after euthanizing their pet. For instance, James Herriot said "Like all vets, I hated doing this, painless though it was, but to me there has always been comfort in the knowledge that the last thing these helpless animals knew was the sound of a friendly voice, and the touch of a gentle hand." Also, the owner of the euthanized pet also said "It was very hard decision for me also. However, after euthanizing my pet, I felt even more comfortable and relaxed because of the thought my animal died peacefully."
Second, euthanizing can be helpful for both owners and pets. It can stop pain, sickness and sadness for pets and give comfort to owners. For instance, suppose that your pet was very old, is not able to survive, and just spending day to day feeling pain. Wouldn't you be sorry for your pet that you cannot help anything except looking them with a sad, worried face? It would be better to allow your pet to die peacefully rather than seeing it with a worried face.
In conclusion, I think euthanizing is a better choice when your pet is very sick, and there is no treatment to cure it. Helping animals to die peacefully is also one way to love animals.
Hello everyone! Today, I'm going to introduce you a story about " Squirrel and the Acorn". Before I start, I want to show you a cute picture of squirrel holding an acron, and here it is. The Squirrel and the Acorn
Today was a busy day. I had debate, writing and yoga so I had to walk and learn all day long! I liked all of the classes except yoga because I'm not flexible. Even though I am not flexible, I had to do yoga to make my body flexible. I tried very hard to do yoga, and I think that was the main reason why I was really tired. I was so tired that I wanted to sleep, but I could not because there were many things on my schedule. I waited and waited for the time to sleep, but the time wennt so slow. Therefore, I decided to forget everything and sleep for a while(Maybe 30minutes). However by the time when I woke up, I noticed that I slept almost 10 hours. I was trying to go to the bathroom and wash my face, but I also noticed something very surprising! Can you guess what it was?
Well, If you are curious about it, I'll tell you. I was surrounded with lots of squirrels and the squirrels were shouting something I couldn't understand. Then, the squirrel who looked like a leader gave me a strange-looking thing. When I put that thing on my head, I could understand the squirrel's language They said that I saved their life, and I couldn't understand. What did I do yesterday? I was just tired of walking and learnining so I went to sleep. That's what I did, but how can I save their life? When I asked the squirrels, they said something but I couldn't understand even though I put the strage looking thing on. That was a mystery and if you know why, please call me.
Anyway, back to the story. The squirrels disappeared after giving me a two brownish acorn. I thought that the acorn was a present for me, and I never thought that it was something special. I always keep that acorn in my pocket without knowing it's use. But one day, I found the acorn's use!
I was losted somewhere, and I could not find my house. It was becoming dark, but I was still wandering around the street, looking for help. There was no people, houses, and animals around the street and I was so embarrassed. Without any thought, I just threw the acorn infront of me. When I threw the acorn, I felt that I was flying somewhere I across the sky. The last thing I saw was the glowing acorn, and I could still remember that now! The acorn was magical!
I have another acorn left in my house, and I will also use that when I 'm in danger, or somebody nearby is in danger. Now, I really want to shout out loud, "Thank you squirrels!"

To give a brief summary of this video, this is about one child learning an important lesson from the monk. As you see in this video at the beginning, the child fastened a heavy rock to the fish, snake, and frog. He didn't knew that the thing he had done, can kill lots and lots of living things. While the child was doing this cruel things, the monk was watching. The monk decided to teach a child a lesson, so he tied a rock on the child's back while he was sleeping. When the child woke up, he finds out that the rock was on his back and tells the monk to get rid of it, but the monk said he should save the fish, frog and snake first if he wanted his rock off. He finds the fish, frog and snake at last, but he noticed a very shocking thing, that three out of two were dead! The video ends with a crying child holding the bloody snake.
Sorry that my summary was too long, but here's the point. What do you think the video was trying to teaching us? Almost all of you will answer that the video was teaching us something about life . This may be true, but. I think the video was giving us a lesson that there is nothing important than having an experience. For instance, the video showed a child regretting himself due to his experience. This means the video wants us to know that experience is the most important thing in life, and I think that it really is. There are several reasons of it.
First, it can make children understand better how the others feel.. For instance, I was very rude to my parents, and my parents were very disappointed about me. I thought that I did not did anything wrong, but my parents were misunderstanding me. I felt very sad and depressed all day long. However, I regret myself when I experienced being a mother for one day, and from now on, I could understand my mother better.
Second, making a child experience is better than the traditional method: hitting and yelling. For instance, suppose that you were being yelled by your parents. How would you feel? You will feel very upset and mad, so you will not regret. Now suppose that you were in the opposite situation. No one is yelling, or hitting at you. Instead, you are just experiencing it by being an other person. Even though you do not regret at the first time, experiencing can make you regret.
In conclusion, I think the video was giving us a lesson that there is nothing important than having an experience. Of course, traditional method can be useful at sometimes, but I recommend adults to make their child experience the same situation rather than using the traditional thing. Suppose that you were kidnapped by a stranger and sended to a children army. Once you arrive there, you shoul dkill your loving parents by yourself and do all of the hard works everyday. You should eat, sleep and learn horrible things at somewhere like a dungeon. Even though you want to escape, you can not. How would you feel?
You might want to die because if you die,you can feel no pain afterwards. However, rather than dying, you might try to imagine that this situation is not real and I was just making up this situation. Nevertheless, this is not a lie, and this is a horribly a heartbreaking reality in Uganda. Joseph Kony is leading this children army(LRA), and social media has been lighting up with a new campaign named Invisible children, aming to stop Joseph Kony. Their plan was to make Kony famous by a video, and recently, they made a video name "Kony 2012".
To give a brief summary of this video "Kony 2012", the video introduces the army of LRA, and how the children in LRA live like. They gave us a stroy of a children name Jacob. Jacob was only 13, but he had to experience so much things that was so hard for him to bare. For instance, Jacob saw his brother dead, because he tried to escape from the army. He said he wanted to follow his brother to the heaven, because he did not want to stay in the army. Like this, the video shows how Joseph Kony make children sad and depressed.
Everyone who had seen this video will think that they should catch Joseph Kony after the video was seen by many people over the world. However, the controversy starts here, "Should we make Joseph Kony famous by a video like this? Is this really the right way?" Some of you may answer "no" because you think that making a bad crimainal like Joseph Kony famous, is not ethical. However, we should not care what is ethical or not, infront of the situation children dying in pain. I think we should do whatever it takes to stop Joseph Kony, we should make a video clip of it and there are several reasons for it.
First of all, if everyone knows about Kony, it will be much easier to catch Kony. For instancce, think about this. You're friend and you were finding the lost thing. The situation was same, but the difference was that you find the lost thing by yourself while your friend find it with everyone. Who do you think will find the lost thing faster? Of course, your friend will find it more faster than you because she's worked with many people. Like in this situation, there's nothing impossible if every single person in the world collaborate each other to find Kony. To make everyone collaborate each other, we should first globalize this situation, and making a video clip is the best way for it.
Furthermore, globalizing Joseph Kony by a video is an effective method. That's because video can make people feel sympathy with the main character. If you don't understand why, let me ask you one question. What is more realistic between a book and a video? Probably, most people will answer that video is more realsitic because video has many sound effects such as people talking. Nontheless, books just have letters written on. Even though there is some pictures of it, those pictures does not talk and move. Therefore, videos are more realistic and we should use this method to globalize Joseph Kony.
Finally, if we make a video and show it to everyone, Kony, himself will be afraid. The video was seen by people in the world and someday, Kony will see it too. Kony will notice that many people are trying to find himself, and he will regret that he caused these things. Even though he tried to hide, he will think that hiding is not useful because everyone is trying to catch himself. Then, he will notice that nothing is possible for a bad criminal like him except saying sorry to all of the people in the world, and the members of LRA. Making a video can make Kony himslef regret.
In conclusion, I think we should do whatever it takes to catch Kony and globalize this event by a video. I thought that making a video was a best method to help find Kony because it can make people fee sympathy and collaborate each other. Also, it will make Kony, himself very afraid. Criminals like Kony should be catched! In Uganda, many children are feeling pain and you should help them. Everyone, you should participate in this Kony issue! Your small effort can save millions and millions of children in Uganda.
